In connection with being elected the President of the European Fencing
Confederation I have received numerous congratulations from athletes,
coaches, specialists and leaders of national fencing Federations.
I would like to thank you all for your congratulations and warm regards.
I shall exert myself to justifying your trust and consolidating the
efforts
of European Fencing Federations for further development of our admirable
sport in Europe and all over the world.
In the nearest future I am going to introduce you my plan of
practical actions aimed at implementation of my pre-election programme.

International Charitable Foundation «For Future of Fencing» is a
private initiative of organizations and entrepreneurs concerned in
destiny and prospects of the world fencing. This is an endeavor to
consolidate all the sound intellectual forces, to make them an active
resource of the world fencing development. This is a striving for
involving sportsmen, trainers, scientists, politicians, businessmen
and all the people into a serious dialog about crucial problems of the
world fencing. |

MISSION OF
INTERNATIONAL CHARITABLE FOUNDATION «FOR FUTURE OF FENCING»
International Charitable Foundation sees its mission in
consolidating intellectual and material resources, presenting them
to the world's fencing community and offering ways of effective
development. Under conditions of systemic transformation of the
world, sporting authorities are generally forced to act as
appropriate, rather than according to a well considered plan. Issues
of strategy, global vision of the problems, thus, remain out of
sight. Meanwhile, future mistakes originate from the present.
Strategy is an attempt to foresee the future in order to avoid
mistakes in the present.
Civil initiative of International Charitable Foundation founders
consists in assisting the world fencing community to realize itself
and formulate the strategy of development, by common efforts of
sport, training, scientific, business circles.

PURPOSES OF
INTERNATIONAL CHARITABLE FOUNDATION «FOR FUTURE OF FENCING»:

consolidation of responsible professionals around the Fund;

creation of a forum in order to exchange views on the most important
issues of world fencing community's life;

assistance to forming the system of independent expert evaluation
and research;

assistance to forming the system of support for child-youth fencing;
-
assistance to forming ideology of succession, partnership,
responsibility;
-
rendering methodical, scientific and material support to
organizations and federations of developing states.

OBJECTIVES OF
INTERNATIONAL CHARITABLE FOUNDATION «FOR FUTURE OF FENCING»:

establishing an authoritative independent organization formulating
possible priorities of fencing development;

influencing on formation of the current policy in various aspects of
international fencing activity by means of unprejudiced and
independent analysis of situation or problem.

METHODOLOGICAL PRINCIPLES
The
work of International Charitable Foundation «For Future of Fencing» is
based on methodological principles of the Olympic Charter:

interdisciplinary approach to contemporary problems of fencing
activity subjects;

global prospect during research of problems and situations;

concentration on long-term and complex problems.

FORMS OF WORK
In its
activity the Fund will use all
the forms of collaboration and cooperation providing for free,
qualified and authoritative activity:

independent analytical studies and reports;

seminars for trainers and specialists;

rendering charitable, gratuitous help (doling and granting);

creation of the centre of information and studies on global and
strategic problems it the world-wide web, data-base of scientific
research, scientific publications, etc.
