Beginners Course:

The course lasts two months. It comprises 8 individual lessons with a professional coach. We will also supply you with all the necessary fencing equipment. You can come to the club to practice and fence as often as you like: we are open 6 days a week. After two months you will be ready to participate in local and provincial competitions, and we will be happy to develop a special program for you to continue fencing depending on your age, skills, physical qualities etc. R 690

These are our monthly coaching fees at TFS. These fees are inclusive of the following: the use of the TFS hall, use of TFS equipment, competition support, club facilities, daily fencing training etc.Training takes place Monday to Friday from 5.00pm to 9.30pm (the duration and length of training is flexible to suit the individual's needs) and on Saturdays from 8.30 am except on competition weekends, when the competition replaces the training session.

Club membership is included in the monthly	fees for lessons.

Competitions and training sessions may be arranged on Sundays as well from time to time. Individual lessons are 20 minutes long. If a lesson is missed it must be made up in the month that it is missed. It is the students responsibility to make up the missed lessons.

We recommend that you take as many individual lessons as possible, as this speeds up the learning curve and will increase your level of enjoyment.
Lesson bookings are made with the coaches and the available times can be viewed on the coaching schedule in the TFS hall. Personal equipment is free for two months thereafter we encourage fencers to make use of our Beginners' Special, which includes all the personal equipment required for fencing. The Beginners' Special costs approximately R1900-00.

If lessons are missed due to national competitions, the warm-up and competition support is deemed to be the lesson. TFS will make every effort possible to make up lessons in the month that they are missed.

	Fees are due on the first day of each month. Please note that it is important for the running of the club that fees be paid in time. We appreciate the use of debit orders.
